book "Staying with the Trouble. Making Kin in the Chthulucene",
translated into German by Karin Harrasser, will be embedded in a report
on translation problems, pleasures, and strategies with a book that makes
the gesture of transmission a method.
It doesn’t only switch between different fields of knowledge and
genres, but also puts focus on the question of the reality content of
metaphors. Translating thus becomes something true to its Latin source,
translatio—carrying across or crossing over—including the
risk of shipwrecking.
The lecture will be held in German.
